Filtering data

I am currently trying to use JASP to look at a subset of the UK Biobank (roughly 157,000 out of 500,000). I am trying to exclude any participants who did not answer all 5 particular questions in a questionnaire. I am happy to include the data if they answered any of the 5 questions.

Whenever I try to use the filter function to exclude rows which have NA in all 5 question columns it doesn’t seem to exclude the correct rows. I only need this to look at the participant demographics. How should I proceed? Thanks.

  • Hi,

Would a filter like the one below work?

This excludes participants that have one or more NAs in the items. If you want to exclude them only if all values are missing, then change the | to a & .
