Response-dependent picture feedback after each trial

Dear OS community,

I'm a OS (and python) newby and I need to set up an experiment with a certain feedback (a picture) after each trial. For instance, if key 2 is pressed (correct answer), picture 1 (which indicates the reward) should show up, if Key 3 is pressed (wrong answer), picture 2 (no reward) should appear.

How would I insert this in my OS template?

Thank you 😊

  • Hi @Mnemosyne,

The simplest method to display one picture after a correct response and another after an error is to include two feedback objects in your sequence and condition their appearance using the "Run if" parameter in the sequence settings. You just need to set one to correct == 1 and the other to correct == 0. This will ensure that the first s run if the participant's response is correct and the second weill be shown if it is not. More infomation about the "Run if" parameter can be found here: https://osdoc.cogsci.nl/4.0/manual/structure/sequence/

    Best,
