Counter for [total_correct] is always one count too low - updating too late only
Dear OS community,
I have set up an experiment where participants should see feedback after each correct trial. For each correct response they are rewarded one virtual coin. Underneath the picture of the coin they will be informed if they just gained one coin and also about the sum of all coins. For the sum I use the variable [total_correct] which shows the right count after the experiment. So it is the right variable. But in the picture the counter is always one count back. So when the picture of the rewarding coin appears, the value of the variable [total_correct] is counting up, but in the picture it will not yet update (see screenshot below). In the example below, there was one correct input, so the number after total should be 1 and not 0! After the trial (and after the picture appears) the number is added correctly, but it is not updated in the picture.
Have you any idea how to fix this?
Thanks! ☺️

Hi,
You need to use feedback items not sketchpads. Otherwise the information on the participant contribution is not available or delayed (see the prepare-run strategy).

Hi Eduard,
actually I figured it out by myself meanwhile.
Thank you anyway! 😊
