mgm Network Analysis: compare groups for statistical differences

Hello everyone,

for my paper I would like to include a statistical test to compare the two groups of my dataset. I use mgm model with CV AND criteria and I have split them by "training group" and "control group". Most papers include a test for statistically significant differences between the two networks.

How can this be done in JASP? Alternatively: how can I use my JASP output to do this with another software?

Many Thanks,

Christoph

  • I've asked the team

  • Thanks E.J. In the meantime I found a package called Network Comparison Test (NCT) that is used quite frequently for this and seems to use the output (matrix?) from mgm.

    Thanks for your support!

  • @EJ may I ask you if there is any feedback of the team on this? Thanks a lot, Christoph

  • Thanks, I've asked again (everybody is really busy as we are in the middle of testing a new version)

  • Hi n00025927,

Currently, this cannot be done with Jasp and you'd have to use R to compare the two network, with the R package NetworkComparisonTest. You can try to compare the two networks you have substantially, but it will be difficult to say something about whether those differences are significant.
