Confirmatory factor analysis
Hello everyone,
I need a tip for the following problem in Jasper: I have conducted a confirmatory factor analysis and initially estimated a one-factor model, followed by a two-factor model. Now, I want to use a chi-square test to determine if the one-factor model significantly improves with the addition of the second factor.
To clarify: One-factor model (χ²/df) = 142.25 (36) Two-factor model (χ²/df) = 103.09 (35) I would now like to calculate whether the resulting difference Δ χ² (Δ df) = 39.16 (1) is significant.
Can someone help me with this?
Thank you very much, Nele

Go in the R console in JASP (you might have to add the module), and type:
1-pchisq(39.16,1)Thank you very much, that helped me a lot!
