Question about Dunn´s test after a KW-test

Hi,

I am not entirely clear about the explanation of the Dunn´s test after a KW-test. Is the p-value presented the Dunn´s post hoc tests (uncorrected) and the two additional ones (Bonferroni and Holm) corrected p-values? If this is the case the wording in the information box should clarified.

When do you present the one (uncorrected) or the other (corrected)?

Kind regards

  • Hi @PerPalmgren ,

It's indeed the uncorrected p-value and then two with the corrections applied. The uncorrected p-value could be used if the comparisons are planned, rather than done exploratory. However, we could remove the uncorrected one to avoid confusion, since the posthoc test implies there being some correction.

    Cheers,

  • Hi @JohnnyB,

Thank you for very clear and stringent response. I think for clarity for JASP users it could be a good idea to remove the uncorrected statistic.👍🏻

    All the best.
