N-Back task in OSWeb

Hi all,

I was wondering if there are any openly available scripts for an n-back task in OSWeb. The examples I've come across on the forum have all used Python, but obviously for it to run online, I need my script to use JavaScript instead. I am majorly struggling to get started with setting up the experiment myself, mostly because I have only just started learning JavaScript. So if anyone has any pointers on how to get started, that would already be very useful too!

Thank you so much in advance!

Amber

  • Hey Amber!

    There is an ongoing experiment library project within OpenSesame. Dr. Mathot and I created the first attempt, which was, luckily, an N-Back task :) It is ready to use but has not yet been published. You can download the osexp. file from the repository below;

    The file is called "N-2 back", but you can use the experiment as N-much as you need indeed!

    If you need further help with the structure, execution etc., feel free to ask !

  • Hi @muratcan,

    That is amazing, thank you so much! This is extremely useful and I think this should give me a good basis for this task.

    Again, thank you so much, this is a huge help.

    Kind regards,

    Amber
