no outliers in data

Dear JASP Support Team,

I am encountering an issue where outliers do not appear in my boxplot, even though I know there are outliers in the dataset and I have selected the "Label Outliers" option. It seems as though the outliers are not being included or displayed in the graphs.

I am using JASP 0.19.2 (Intel) on a MacBook. Could you advise on how to resolve this issue or ensure that outliers are visible in my boxplots?

Thank you for your assistance.

Kind regards,

  • Dear MeieJ,

It would help if you show a screenshot, or (even better) if you can include the data. I suspect this issue can be solved very quickly. If not, I advise you to post the issue on our GitHub page, which will bring you in direct contact with the programming team (see https://jasp-stats.org/feature-requests-bug-reports/).

    Cheers,

    E.J.

  • Update: with my own JASP 0.19.3 my outliers are labelled. We never got a complaint about outliers not being labeled, so I think something else must be going on. Just to confirm: you do see black dots that fall above or below of the whiskers?
