JASP 0.19.3: Potential bug preventing addition of nonlinear parameter 'b' in Bayesian Gener

Dear JASP Development Team,

I am encountering an issue when trying to add the nonlinear parameter 'b' in the Bayesian Generalized Linear Mixed Model analysis in JASP version 0.19.3. The "+" or "Add Component" buttons to add 'b' under the "Model" tab are grayed out and inactive.

Problem: I am unable to estimate a nonlinear mixed-effects model because the buttons to add the nonlinear parameter 'b' are inactive.

Attempted workarounds: I have tried unchecking the "Correlations" checkbox under the "Random Component " box, restarting JASP, and creating a new data file, but the issue persists.

  • Hi Yuichiro,

I'm sorry but I couldn't follow your explanations. Could you please upload a screenshot of the settings and what you are trying to do?

    Best,

    Frantisek

  • Dear Frantisek

    Thank you for your comments.

    I w

ill paste an image of the analysis screen. Please check it.

A nonlinear mixed model using Bayesian statistics will be used to analyze the differences in improvement over the course of treatment for each group.

    Yuichiro

  • What's the problem with the screenshot you showed?

  • Dear Yuichiro,

Do I understand correctly that you are having issue specifying the dependent variable into the first input field (i.e., where you black square box is)? There does not seem to be any additional variables left that could be used as the outcome in the available variable list.

    Cheers,

    Frantisek

  • Dear Frantisek

Input variables are hidden from view for confidentiality.

Input variables are in the dependent variable.

    Yuichiro

  • @Yuichiro it's not possible from your screenshots to see what the problem is. I also don't understand what the problem is from the textual description you gave.
