ANOVA - low variance of dependent variable
Hi,
I am trying to analyse my HRF data with an ANOVA in JASP. But apparently the values are too small for JASP to handle. When I run the ANOVA the following error occurs: residual sum of squares is 0; this might be due to extremely low variance of your dependent variable
However, when i conduct the same analyses in R it works..
Of course the values of the HRF data are really small:
Mean = -2,53E-08
Std. Deviation = 7,65E-07
Minimum = -1,44E-05
Maximum = 1,05E-05
So I am wondering if there is a way to change the sensitivity of JASP in the settings, so that it works without transforming my data?
Thank you very much in advance for your help here.
Best, Marie

Hi Marie,
That is more of an issue for our GitHub page I think (for details see https://jasp-stats.org/2018/03/29/request-feature-report-bug-jasp/). [And of course the easiest fix is to multiply your measurements by some large factor, but it would be interesting to find out why you can run the analysis in R but not in JASP]
