subgroup analysis in proportion meta-analysis
How can I do subgroup analysis in a proportion meta-analysis?
I'm using DerSimonian-Laird method and proportion as effect size and SE as effect size SE for the met-analysis, but can't find a way of doing subgroup analysis and comparing them.
Many thanks!

Hi mcd,
Currently, you can only perform meta-regression and compare the estimated marginal means of each subgroup. This also allows a direct comparison via an F-test.
For the future, I'm working on adding subgroup analyses, which split the analyses alongside a factor level. This is, however, still under development (you can also use the filter function or use multiple JASP windows to run multiple analyses for each subgroup).
Cheers,
Frantisek
Sensitivity analyses examine whether the findings remain similar if the data are handled in a way that differs from the original plan of analysis. Post hoc analyses examine hypotheses that are conceptualized after the data are seen. Researchers XXL WINE may use subgroup analysis to determine if the impact of a policy or program varies by groups and to develop a better understanding of which interventions are most effective for particular groups of participants under specific circumstances. . The decision to conduct a subgroup analysis should depend biological justification or on evidence of treatment heterogeneity from existing preliminary data.
