OpenSesame on OS Sierra 10.12.3
The latest version of OpenSesame is often crashing or not opening on my computer - has anyone had similar problems and found a solution?

Hi,
We are aware that the Mac OS packages don't work smoothly on some systems (hence the disclaimer on the download page).
Could you describe your problems in a bit more detail? When do the crashes occur? And what happens exactly if a crash occurs? This would help us improve things.

That is ok, thanks for your reply -- I read up on your comments and previous complaints, so now I am setting up my experiment on a windows desktop.

Could you still check one thing for me. If you go to OpenSesame's preferences, you see a section called
Runner. Can you tell me what your current setting is there? If it isinprocess, does OpenSesame run more stable after you changed this setting tomultiprocess?Hi Daniel, sorry about the delay in answering. I gave up on opensesame on my MacBook quickly after running into problems, and I started building my experiment on a windows desktop ( also giving me problems with logging now). This week I will try again building it from scratch on my MacBook, and I will let you know. The settings are in process --I opened a sample experiment and it ran and finished, but the logger didn't open -- I will let you know more once I have tried more. Thanks!
