PST SR button box issue with mac
in OpenSesame
Hi everyone,
I'm new to Opensesame but have gotten so sick of Eprime that I'm taking the plunge. I'm trying to use the standard PST SR button box but have run into a road block. I've tried to have Opensesame auto detect the SR box but it crashes (as the instructions say) and I can't seem to get the device name correct.
I downloaded the Prolific USB-Serial driver and my laptop shows that the USB serial controller is installed, but now I'm not sure what device name I should input in the sr_box dialogue box. I've also got all of the lights lit up (as opposed to when I run my scripts in Eprime I don't have any).
Any advice would be greatly appreciated!

I don't have a mac myself, but I think the serial port on Mac OS has a name like
/dev/tty.[something]. What do you see if you type the following in a terminal?Does any of those work?

It looks like an error with my mac and not opensesame, as it will not detect the button box. Thanks for the response!
