Fast-response LCD monitors
Hi,
To replace a CRT monitor associated with an EyleLink 1000, I am looking for "the best" LCD that is able to handle a masked priming experiment. In this type of experiment, a stimulus can be displayed for less than 20 milliseconds.
Is there any LCD model that can fit such requirement (or another technology at an affordable price)?
I have read about the Display ++ from Cambridge Research. It has a 5 ms grey-to-grey response, so good enough but not that ideal.
Any help would be appreciated.
Many thanks
Stephane

Hi Stephane,
@Jarik pointed me toward these two links:
Yes, I think that many LCD monitors can handle that just fine.
I hope you're doing well in Marseille!

Hi,
Regarding monitors; we bought a consumer high-speed camera a long time ago and this turns out to be ideal for testing monitors (and experiments for that matter). It's the Casio EX-FH25 capable of 1000Hz video (at a very low resolution). One probably can't buy these anymore, but I guess any 1000Hz video camera will do.
I used it to create this video
