[open] Multiple choice questions logging response time

edited April 2015 in OpenSesame

Hi folks,

I'm using OpenSesame to collect data for my Master's Thesis, however I'm completely new to the software and a little short on time, so I was hoping someone could point me in the direction of a template or experiment which I could base mine on. I've gone through the beginner's tutorial so have a basic understanding of the software (and could indeed base my experiment on the tutorial framework) however given my experiment is relatively simple, I was hoping there is a preexisting model.

Basically, I'm looking at different methods of vocabulary presentation. I have 10 nonsense words which I will teach participants by associating each word with an image. The experiment will then run a series of multiple choice questions where participants will be presented with either an image and 3 possible words, or a word and 3 possible images. Participants will click the answer they believe to be correct.

I'm planning on running two loops. A practice loop, which logs responses and provides feedback after every question, and the experiment loop, which will record responses and response times.

So is there any chance anyone can point me towards something similar that has already been made (which will of course be acknowledged and referenced), or has any tips for the design?

Many thanks in advance,

Dan.
