Open Sesame doesn't run fullscreen in actual experimental mode

Hi there, I followed the previous suggestion (from Jan. 2017) to change "set fullscreen" in general script from "no" to "yes" but this is never saved and applied. Does anyone encounter the same problem with the latest update? Thanks

  • I have also tried to change resolutions but it didn't work. The full screen is running but my stimuli stay in the range like test run. The range is about 1/2 of the whole screen...

  • Hi Eli,

First off, you've asked this exact same question in two other posts as well. Please help us keep the forum clean by posting the same question only once!

Regarding your issue: I think you're misunderstanding the concept of "full screen". What this means is that the experiment doesn't run in a window, but rather covers the entire screen so that it hides the task bar, etc. But this doesn't mean that your stimuli will also cover the entire screen. Whether or not they do simply depends on the size of the stimuli.

So here's what I would do:

    1. Change the resolution of the experiment so that it matches the resolution of the monitor.
    2. Resize your stimuli such that they make use of the entire screen.

    Cheers!
