How can my participants to run opensesame experiments without install the program? Please help !

Hello! I'm new here and I want to ask you, even if i saw that was a topic about this, if there is a methot so my participants can be able to complete the experiment without install opensesame. I made 3 programs, quite long, an IRAP, a Stroop Alcohol Test and a questionnaire and I think it will be frustrating for participants to install the program or to download such a big file. Maybe it can be saved as an executable or on a web page, in a simple way. Thank you a lot!
Cheers!

  • Hi Andrada,

No, I'm afraid that's not currently possible. Or at least, participants don't need to install OpenSesame, but they do at least need to download the no-installation-required package, which is the same size as the installer (slightly larger actually).

We're working on an online runtime for OpenSesame, and that would be ideal in your situation. But I'm afraid that's still a work in progress!

    Cheers!

  • Thanks a lot.

  • Is there any forum for people who have OpenSesame where we can recruit participants for our experiments?

  • Hi,

I don't think such a platform exists. You would probably have to instruct participants how to install Opensesame. Maybe this here is also something for you: https://www.labvanced.com/index.html

    Good luck,
