Touch response problems in Android devices

Hi,

I'm experiencing problems similar to the ones reported here:

Yet i can't solve them.

I designed a very simple task to get acquainted to opensesame. Simple mathematical equations are showed and users have to tap/click left if the equation is false or right if it true. I uploaded the task on jatos and sent links to different devices: works fine with windows-pc browers, but on android the following error occurs:

all the "right-true" answers (column 2 of touch response grid) are coded as "wrong" by the following feedback.

This is how i set the correct response variable in the loop:

the wrong sketchpad and the sampler provide feedback for wrong answers, there's also a new_feedback routine showing the overall accuracy:

this are the settings of the touch response:

I also set the back-end on droid.

I leave the script in attachment.

I really cannot figure out the error! ?️

Grateful for any kind of help,

Lorenzo

  • Hi Lorenzo,

Just to avoid confusion: The droid backend was for running experiments using a special Android app. But this app is no longer developed, and the droid backend will be removed in 3.3. For running the experiments with OSWeb, the backend doesn't matter, regardless of which operating system or browser you're using.

Regarding the problem with the touch_response item, we'll get back to you on that quickly.

    Cheers!

  • Ok, i'll use default setting for that option. Thank you Sebastian!
