[open] Bug on mac version 0.25?

edited November 2011 in OpenSesame

Hi,

It seems that when I edit a working inline script made in version 0.24(windows) on my mac (0.25) the program complains about syntax errors in the line immediately above the line I edited (I guess it doesn't recognize the 'enter') to change lines?

Also, it seems I can't change the position of an item in a sequence by grab and drop

That sounds like a bug, having to do with the different end-of-line encodings used on the various platforms. I'll verify it when I get back to office. Are you able to work around this issue by saving and re-opening the file?

Also, it seems I can't change the position of an item in a sequence by grab and drop

Only with the Mac version, you mean? Again, I'll get back to you when I've had the chance to verify it.

Thanks for all your reports! Your feedback is much appreciated.

I just tested this on a Mac and it seems to work just fine. I can imagine that it's not very clear though, because you don't get proper visual feedback. What you have to do is grab an item by its handle (the 4 small squares) and drop it onto another handle. Does it work if you try it like this?

Hi Sebastiaan, yes it works but it seems you have to drop it exactly over the other 4 dots, I was being lazy and dropping it just around the vicinity and didn't work.

Yes, it's not the epiphany of user-friendliness, I know. Although under Windows/ Linux you get a bit of visual feedback, which helps. I'm definitely going to improve the drag-and-drop functionality for the next releases.

Btw, I haven't gotten around to checking out the end-of-line script error, but it's on my todo list.

Also, I tried to change the resolution parameters in the general properties tab and then save and the program did not recognize the change. I had to go into the script editor and change it there for it to work.
