That is disappointing. Pavlovia runs in the cloud - operated by Pavlovia - and this is easy for your university's IT department, because they do not have to setup a server themselves like JATOS would need. But storing experiment data in the cloud comes with ethical/privacy issues. Anyway, I can't answer your question - Just wanted to agree on your frustration.

OpenSesame experiments do not run on Pavlovia, at least not currently. But you could also consider using this public JATOS server:
