OSWeb Stimulus Import and Response Delay

My experiment currently utilizes a separate Excel spreadsheet to present gabor stimuli with labels of category, spatial frequency, and orientation all in the spreadsheet; however, upon exporting the experiment to OSWeb, the gabors fail to be shown. Does the spreadsheet need to be imported into JATOS separately? How should I proceed to ensure the entire experiment is successfully ported over?

Additionally, in porting the experiment online, I switched from inline_script to inline_javascript, but now feel that there is a delay in response collection. Does the usage of Javascript prevent users from being able to input their responses as fast? Attached is my code below. Thanks in advance for the time and help!

@albertyang Your script simply doesn't contain any code to draw a gabor patch. In draw_gabor_script_1 you're setting two experimental variables, gabor_ori and gabor_sf . However, you're not doing anything with these variables. You should add a gabor element to the gabor sketchpad , and then have the orientation and spatial frequency depend on these variables by editing the item script:

You have set the duration of the gabor sketchpad to 1000. This means that the experiment will show this sketchpad and then pause for a second before moving on to the keyboard_response. So that's probably what causes the delay. To fix this, simply set the duration to 0. See also:
