Screen freezes or goes blank for some participants
Hi,
I am running an experiment with OSWeb where participants have to rate images (30-60 min) and on each trial, 10 responses are logged. This experiment worked fine when we tested it on multiple laptops and browsers (Firefox, Safari), we only excluded Chrome because it was error prone.
The study works for many participants, but some participants are reporting different errors related to the screen freezing in the middle of the experiment or the screen going blank.
What could be the reason that this happens, but only for some participants while it works for others?

I'm having a similar problem, but I'm not on the latest version of OSweb. What version are you using?
I'm thinking it might be related to this issue, which is supposedly fixed in the latest version. However, the latest version has a different problem related to allowed keyboard responses.

I'm using the latest version of OS (3.3.6) for which they say here that the error with the freezing should be fixed..

I suspect @JasperdeWaard is correct. In the meanwhile, OSWeb 1.3.12 has been released as part of OpenSesame 3.3.7. Why don't you update and see if that fixes the issue?

I updated OS, saved my experiment with the new version, export it as a jatos experiment and uploaded it to jatos.
However, the experiment that worked in OSWeb before now skips all loops when running it in jatos and only presents the sketchpads - even though the loops are definitely present in the experiment when I export it.
Why does this happen and how do I fix it, so I can run the experiment in jatos again?
