The Participant cannot open the link

Hi

I have used Mindprobe for a while. The experiment went well. But recently I found it is difficult to open the link. When I sent the link to the participants of my experiment, some of them tried very hard with different browsers, but still couldn't open it. I don't know why. I'd like to ask: What could be the reason? Is there any way to make it easier to open the link?

The Message I got is either “none” or “It's not allowed to reload this component. Study is finished.”

  • Hi Margaret,

Mindprobe is working fine and is by far not overloaded. May I ask which worker type you are using to create your link(s)? The error message your participants reported (“It's not allowed to reload this component. Study is finished.”) indicate that they can open the link but then somehow tried to reload the page, most likely via the browser's reload button. Is there maybe another problem with your study, maybe that it is not loaded properly and the impatient participant just presses the reload button?

    Best,

    Kristian

  • Hi Kristian,

I use "General Multiple" to create the link. It worked very well last month. Only recently this problem occured. Some participants can open it. Some participants cannot. They waited for a while, but the OS-Web Page did not appear. So they have to reload the blank page.

    Best Wishes,

    Margaret

  • Hi Margaret,

Like I said Mindprobe is not overloaded and I guess the reason is more on the browser side. Do you have any errors in the browser or do you have a way for me to reproduce the problem on my computer? Can you give me a link to your study?

    Best,

    Kristian
