[solved] file error

edited December 2013 in OpenSesame

Hi everyone,

Monday I saved my experiment the same way i always do, but today i cannot open the file. OpenSesame says:

CRC check failed 0x85be773dL != 0xa0a9ab0aL

Can anyone tell me what happened here? Thank you in advance,

Marthe

    Hi Marthe,

    It sounds like the file has been corrupted for some reason, which could be anything. Your best bet would be to open the file with a program like 7zip and see if this program can still read the file.

    .opensesame.tar.gz files are basically like .zip files (actually .tar.gz), and you can always open them with a zip-like program to recover your script if things go wrong. Provided that the file is not completely damaged, of course.

    Cheers!

    Hi Sebastiaan!

    Dank je! I tried to open the file using 7zip but unfortunately it didn't work. I'll just have to work further on an older version.

    Thanks though! Much appreciated.
