Accented characters not showing when loading stimulis from a csv
Hi everyone,
I have a very simple issue: I have written stimuli in a csv file, each containing accented characters such as "é", "â", "ç", etc. The file is formatted in UTF-8 so there shouldn't be any issue to display these characters. But when I try to display the stimulus with an inline html I get those classic weird combinations of characters indicating that the accented character was not recognized (e.g. "è" instead of "è").
Does anyone know how to resolve this? I've attached a minimal working example showing my issue with this post.

Thanks for pointing this out. I have to look into what causes this. Can you confirm that this happens on Windows only?
For now, you can use HTML character codes instead. For example,

Sorry for the very late reply. Yes, I made some tests and it only happens on Windows. It seems like the csv file is read with the ANSI (Windows 1252) encoding, which explains why UTF-8 characters are not showing properly.
