Intrusive and inappropriate update error messages
Hi guys,
I'm back again with a problem that I have already reported and which persists in an irritating way. Messages requesting to update are displayed continuously during the use of OpenSesame, despite the fact that the update scripts are used following the advise. Please have a look at the attached report. Thank you in advance for your support.

Hi @gerhono ,
It looks like the anaconda environment of OpenSesame has conflicting packages for some reason. This happens sometimes, and is really difficult to resolve. (This and speed are the main disadvantages of using anaconda.) Two points to consider:
condapackage, as in the screenshot, then I would simply ignore it. There is no reason to updatecondaitself.Hope this helps!

Hi Sebastiaan,
Thank you for the follow-up. My concern is no longer the prompt for update of conda that comes up at the end of the OS update script, I don't care about it. The real problem is that I get frequent suggestions of update of OpenSesame and because it is unlikely that updates might occur at that rate, I suspect that some packages are not correctly updated. That corresponds to your second assumption.
So far, I did not detect any acting out in OpenSesame so I don't have any reason to complain. But is there any parameter that would allow me to stop that prompting for update that finally became a kind of harassement ?
Cheers,
Gérard
Hi @gerhono ,
You can disable the updater under Menu → Tools → Preferences → Plugins. However, this of course also means that you won't receive updates at all. So I would recommend reinstalling, which is likely to fix the issue altogether.
