Sphericity test

Good morning. I have a question. I was doing Bayes Factor repetead measure anova and I checked the sphericity test with a parametric ANOVA due to very high BF with a small N (17).

The sphericity test was violated so now my question is: which results should I report? The BF or the parametric?

Thank you in advance!

  • This is a tricky issue. Ideally we'd have a BF for a parameter ANOVA model that relaxes the assumption of sphericity; we don't have that yet. If the p-values do not change much, it can be argued that the BF will not change much either...

  • Thank you very much for your quick respond! So it's true that they are quite similar that's why I was just wondering if it would be okay reporting the BF but explaining the sphericity report. Thank you very much EJ!
