    hi
after looking a little I found out that when I switch to legacy everything works fine

is it the open GL? (switching it to 'no' speed things up but not like legacy

what can I do to solve it?

what are the disadvantages in using legacy?

    Hi Dror,

When you run fullscreen, the xpyriment and psycho back-ends will use OpenGL in a particular way that can slow things down a lot when using certain video cards. There is nothing that you can do about it, except for disabling OpenGL in expyriment or switching to legacy. Or using another computer, of course.

The largest downside of disabling OpenGL is that you will lose the blocking flip, which means that display timing is a bit less accurate. This is explained in detail here:

For most purposes, using legacy is fine though. So if the slowness is an issue, I would probably switch to legacy.

    Cheers,
    Sebastiaan
