[solved] logfiles no longer saving on to Nexus7

edited March 2014 in OpenSesame

i deleted a few log files from the SDcard on my Nexus 7 and now they no longer save to the device when i run an experiment. When i plug in to my machine and browse for files, no log files are there. I have uninstalled and reinstalled Opensesame runtime on the Nexus and it still does not work. Any suggestions?

    Hi Joshua,

The logfiles (both participant logfiles and opensesame-debug.txt) are recreated each time, so it doesn't matter that you deleted them. Are you sure that you are looking in the right location? Using an app such as Explorer, you can easily browse through your folder structure (by default in the /sdcard folder).

    Cheers,

    Thanks Sebastiaan,

I downloaded the app and i can see all the logfiles in the SDcard directory on my device. However they still do not appear in windows explorer on my computer (they seem to be invisible!) when i insert my Nexus and navigate to the SD card directory. IF i find the logfiles on my nexus via the app you suggested, i can then move them into another folder (for example 'podcasts'), THEN i can navigate to the podcasts folder on windows explorer and they are then visible.

Really not sure what i have done!

    Hi Joshua,

You're probably just mounting the device as a camera or MP3 player, and it will show you only a selection of what's actually on there. But if you do a bit googling you should be able to find out how to mount the device 'normally' on your version of Windows, so that you can view all contents.

    Cheers!
