[solved] Error Message

I'm getting the following message when I try to open it:

Error: Failed to open 'Z:/FWPAVList3.opensesame.tar.gz'
Description: CRC check failed 0x0 != 0xc153c94fL

It was working fine, the computer crashed while I was working on it, and now it won't open at all.
Help, please!

Hi Ktheshing,

Ow, that's unfortunate. Chances are that the file is really corrupted. You could try two things:

Try to open the file with a tool like 7-zip (http://www.7-zip.org/), which may have some recovery functionalities for corrupted files. The .tar.gz format is simply a compressed archive, like a .zip file.

See if you have a recent back-up. By default, OpenSesame saves a back-up every 10 mins. You can find the back-up folder by selecting Tools → Open backup folder from the OpenSesame menu.
