[open] [eyelink1000]A question
Hi Sebastiaan,
We encountered a problem in our experiment, we have spent days on it without any solution...
We used Eyelink 1000 to record the data, and used data viewer to analysis the data. But we cannot get the sample data of pupil (the number of the sample is reported to be zero in data viewer). Do you know how to deal with this?
Thanks a lot!
Sofia

Hi Sofia,
I myself don't use the data viewer, so I can't tell you whether this is a common quirk or something else. But for sakes of inspection, you could consider converting your
edffiles toasciifiles. Those you can open with Excel or text editors, so that you could check whether there is really no valid value for the pupil size of each fixation. To do this conversion, you need to download this software: http://www.teuniz.net/edf2ascii/
I hope this helped.
Good luck,
eduard
thank you!!
Hi again,
I'm trying to open the file as ascii, but an error has occured, it said: Error, number of signal in header is 1514...
How can I deal with that?
Thanks a lot!
Sofia
Hi Sofia,
It's difficult to say what might be wrong. Perhaps the data is corrupt, perhaps the sample data wasn't logged (it is by default, but you can disable it), or perhaps something else. Could you upload one of the problematic data files somewhere and post a link here?
Cheers,
Sebastiaan

Hi Sofia,
I am not able to download the file. Mostly because I can't read Mandarin (or whichever language this is) and there is no obvious download button. Would you mind uploading again, here (http://www.filedropper.com/), for example?
Thanks,
Eduard
