Aha! It wasn't set to utf-8 automatically, that fixed it for me :) Sad about the character input, but at least I can work around it. Thanks!
-
flails madly That's so easy and should have been obvious! It works perfectly now, thank you!!!
-
Someone answered my other post! You can change the font for the whole experiment in the experiment settings, and there are other languages there!
-
does a happy dance That did it!! Taking out the extra loop fixed whatever was going on :D You're an absolute life saver! I was just about to give up haha So much relief. Omg. I posted a different thread since it's such a different topic, but how…

Sry to spam my own page, but I just wanna understand the code In the first inline script, when defining start_time, is it taking the self.time of that moment, like a time stamp? It's not saying that start_time is self.time all the time, right? Als…
-
Hmm nope. Tried it without the sequence and it doesn't change.
-
Does it matter that I have the inline script within a sequence in the dist_test_loop?
-
A friend of mine knows python, but not opensesame. He's wondering if the .exec function is taking too long? Idk lol
-
Yes, dist_test_loop says break if [break_seq]= 1 That worked with the variables! Thanks! I feel so close to this being finished! :D
-
Ok, so the dist_loop was set to 2 cycles. I've changed it to 1, which makes the distractor task end after 59 equations, regardless of the time. The dist_test_loop has 59 cycles, because that's how many options there are in the variable. Both dist_lo…

O I did have it set to twice. Odd. I'll run through some more tests now!
-
My multiple choice forms also do not seem to be recording responses in the logger? So far the others seem ok
-
Ok, so the image display works! It's bringing up random equations, which is perfect. However, the timing mechanism isn't working properly. What I've found is that it will only run through all of the 'equation' images twice (so a total of 118 equatio…
-
Should I post a new thread with just that question, so it gets more attention? Also, the timing system works, but goes super fast. I'm gonna mess with the numbers a bit, but it doesn't even reach a minute yet.
-
lol nope. So I think I modified the prepare page to be ok, but I'm getting a lot of red dots and what not in the run page. The experiment also crashes at this point in a test run, yet cheerfully tells me that the experiment successfully finished lol…
-
Actually I'm messing with it now, and that looks to be the case. Fingers crossed that this comes out ok in a few minutes! XD
-
Thank youuuuu!! I've fixed the loggers and the variables for the rating task. I'm working on the loop. I've added an inline script item and copied what you have into it, but am getting a lot of red. Is it because it's in the python format, and it's …

Here's a link to my drive file. Maybe this will work? https://drive.google.com/file/d/0B6lb194HR2omVWEteHVxSDJUWkk/view?usp=sharing

Is there a way I could upload my experiment on here to have someone give it a once over....I feel that the interface is completely functional, but I'm entirely unsure if I've created all the proper variables and if it will record them appropriately.…

Just bumping this

I'm wondering if I can start this one up again. Josh, that info makes sense in theory to me, but I'm not sure how to implement it, where to put it in the inline script, etc. I'm just too new with this kind of coding. My experiment was just approved …

Turns out I had to be super specific, but I was able to find it. It's nearing completion! The last thing I'm worried about is having a series of math equations for participants to run through, but having it end after a set time instead of completion…

That is definitely something I'm going to try, because the fewer the variables, the better. I'm trying to get it to run on my tablet now to test it. It automatically wants to find the file on an SD card, which I don't have. I've changed the file lo…

Yes!! It's working :D Thank you. Also, is there any way to customize the color of the buttons? This is just aesthetics at this point. Oh, and do I need to define a response variable in the loop? Or does that just go automatically into the logger?
-
Ah, I forgot to mention that this will be run on an Android tablet
