For the fMRI support, I realize there is probably ways to do all of this and maybe more experienced users wouldn't care so much about the features. But, moving from Presentation or E-Prime to OpenSesame (which I imagine is fairly common), the seamle…

I will try this, although the trigger in my case is sent as a '5' through USB like a keyboard which I think is a bit different. In any case, I would like to try to rely on 'absolute timing', but am having some trouble getting this implemented. But w…

Hi Sebastiaan, Yes, this could be it. There are trials where no images are shown, although the sequence for those trials doesn't include an image. Perhaps it is easier if I e-mail the experiment, but here are screen shots of the set-up. Basically, …

It is still happening on the usual PC. I copied and pasted the script into a new blank experiment and then added the pictures to the file pool and I am still getting the same error (although with a different directory path on this PC). This is real…

Thanks Edwin, that is good to know. I will try it as is and see how it goes.

Disregard this, I moved the advanced delay to a different location and it is working as expected now, the cursor even disappears when a response is made. Sorry about that.

Some form of fMRI support similar to Presentation & E-prime would make this the perfect software.

I am in the same situation and quite nervous...but the idea of making all my tasks in Presentation is motivating me to try OpenSesame, which is such a pleasure to use. Sebastiaan, when you say "...send triggers to mark the timing of events&quo…

Ok, actually I see what you mean about the response, I added another keyboard_response, used the run if statement and it is working perfectly! Excellent program, it has made my life so much easier! Thank you.

Yes, that does explain the negative values when the outer edges were clicked (but not for the images where subjects were supposed to click), which was with the PsychoPy back-end. That explains it : ) Thank you so much for your help, I really appre…

Hi Sebastiaan, That is good that I am close : ) Yes, it always progresses to the keyboard_response item. Here is a screen-shot, I am not sure if this helps...when I change the run if, it won't progress from the comparison sketchpad (where the sti…

Hi Lotje, I was using PsychoPy as the back-end and actually still didn't get negative coordinates and checked everything (assuming 0,0 was at the top left) and it worked perfectly. I switched to xpyriment back-end due to some issues with OpenGL on …

Excellent, thank you! Everything is working well except that occasionally there is a negative x-value for the mouse coordinates...if the origin is at the upper left corner, why would there be a negative x-value? Thanks!

Thank you, I think I may just log the mouse coordinates. Will these be the same as seen on the sketchpad? Do they change depending on screen resolution? (sorry, coming from biology side of neuroscience so some of the experiment creation, stimulus di…
