Can someone help?

I am trying to collect a rating by combining the srbox plugin (Cedrus response box) and a sketchpad (to present the response options). I would like to set the "duration" of a sketchpad by keypress of the SR response box, and not the keyboard. What is the correct syntax for this (I have set the allowed keys to "1;5" on the SR box so, ideally, I would like to limit the duration keypress to those buttons. Moreover, do I need to do anything specific in the logger (that is placed after the sketchpad) to log the SR response box presses? Do you think this should work?

Hi,

First things first, does the Cedrus response box even work at all with the SR Box plug-in? They are different devices by different manufacturers, and unless the Cedrus box emulates the SR Box you cannot simply use the srbox plug-in for a Cedrus box. Cedrus does provide Python bindings though:

But assuming that the plug-in does work, you would simply set the duration of the sketchpad to 0, and have it followed by an srbox. It works the same as explained in the tutorial for the keyboard_response:

thanks as ever for your prompt reply. Sorry for multiple posting - for some reason when I post questions I can't tell whether it has posted or not so in this instance I started again in a new forum thinking the original post hadn't worked.

• The Cedrus button box is compatible - so perhaps this is helpful for others to know as well.
