[open] Problem with default spacebar

Hi,

for an experiment we're trying to conduct with open sesame we ran into the following problem: it appears that there is a default spacebar keypress after every item. This is especially problematic in combination with a mouse_response item since the participants would have to press the spacebar every time in order to be able to use the mouse (same thing for additional/other keyboard responses). Does anyone know how I could solve this problem?

Hi Teresa,

Given that this is a pretty basic question (!), I would recommend walking through one of the tutorials before you start working on your own experiment:

Regarding your specific question: The default sketchpad duration is 'keypress'.

Hi Sebastian,

thanks for the quick response. I'm really sorry about this, I actually watched the tutorial and had most of the experiment finished but for some reason just couldn't solve this problem (and found nothing about it online). Maybe this has to do with the fact that the tutorial uses the form_text_render (which doesn't show up in my version). Anyway, thanks for your help!
