[open] synchronization of sequential stimulus

edited February 2015 in OpenSesame

Hello!
I want to create an experiment on apparent motion.
My experiment consists of two conditions and what I want to test is wither the sensitivity to detect the direction of a visual stimulus is influenced by a destructor in the same modality.
On the screen will be two lines of 5 circles each. The upper line is the line-destructor and the below line is the target line.
In the first condition the circles of the upper line are static and the circles of the other line are moving sequentially. In the second condition both lines are moving in the same or in the opposite direction.
One problem is that I cannot set different intervals for the appearance of 5 circles. A second problem is that I cannot synchronize the simultaneous appearance on the screen of the two lines (neither the static or the moving condition of the upper line). Also, I need to achieve balance between the conditions.
I tried to come to an and by using inline script or different loops but I was unable to find a solution.
Any help would be appreciated.

    Hi,

Right now, your question is too vague. It's a loose description of your experiment, without any indication of what you have already tried or where you got stuck.

So what I would do first is walk through a few tutorials. This will give you a basic understanding of OpenSesame, and based on that you should be able to start implementing your experiment. Then, if you get stuck, feel free to post questions here. But make sure to provide enough detail: What exactly do you want to do? What do you have already? And why doesn't it work as expected?

    Good luck!
