[open] Crashes (Saving Error, OS Crash)

edited March 2015 in OpenSesame

Hi,

I want to report two bugs:

  1. When editing a large experiment I get an error from time to time making saving impossible. The error says there is to little disk space, however all my disks have enough space for saving.

  2. In a Video loop within a large experiment Open Sesame randomly crashes at about video 7. This is really bad...
Thinking about splitting the experiment? It is already 355 MB and seems to be very slow in editing as well.

Best,
Daniel

    Hi Daniel,

You probably have a large video file in the file pool, right? OpenSesame can create duplicate file pools, which are cleaned up only when the program closes. This can eat up a lot of disk space. You could see if the problem is less with the latest prerelease of 2.9.5:

But in general, I wouldn't put those very big files in the file pool, because it saving and opening really slow.

In a Video loop within a large experiment Open Sesame randomly crashes at about video 7. This is really bad... Thinking about splitting the experiment?

What are you using to play back the video? And what happens exactly? Do you see an error message?

    Cheers,
    Sebastiaan
