[solved] A form wherein participants choose a website

edited April 2015 in OpenSesame

For a study I'll conduct very soon, I want to present in one screen in a random order four websites urls and a inclosed description about the website. Participants then have to choose one of four websites and browse that site for one minute. Is this possible? If so, how can I make this happen :)? Thank you in advance!

    Hi,

    You cannot embed a browser in the OpenSesame window itself, but what you could do is launch an external browser (chrome, firefox, etc.) with a specific URL from within OpenSesame. The downside of this is that users will have to switch back to OpenSesame to resume the experiment after they have finished browsing. So you'll want to play around with this for a bit to see if it actually suits your needs.

    Opening a browser can be done very easily with an inline_script:

    import webbrowser
    webbrowser.open('http://osdoc.cogsci.nl/')

    Thanks, but then again, I can't really have control over what they do :/ I'll let them choose between screenshots then.
