Hi Anabel,
I appreciate it's difficult to get started with OpenSesame, but I would strongly recommend walking through the step by step tutorial before starting your own experiment: http://osdoc.cogsci.nl/usage/step-by-step-tutorial. If you have trouble understanding it because of the language, you could translate it with Google translate. Your experiment sounds very much like the "cat faces" experiment, so you could also watch that video tutorial (but it's no replacement for the .pdf tutorial): http://osdoc.cogsci.nl/usage/video-tutorials
I would first try to create the experiment by having participants respond to the image while it's on the screen, in which case your experiment (if I understand correctly) is almost exactly like the ones in the tutorials. Then you can add timing bit afterwards, that won't be too hard.
So my recommendation is: Please first familiarise yourself with OpenSesame by walking through the tutorials, and create a simple version of your experiment as described above. Then, if you still have difficulties, please feel free to ask again here on the forum, and I'll make sure you'll get it working.
Good luck!
