[solved] Mac app bloated by theme?
I'm new to OpenSesame, and upon downloading the app I was surprised to see how big it was. I poked around the package contents and see that there's about 200MB in icons in the "Faenza" folder. Do you know if all of these are in use. If not, you might consider trimming this down to just those you use. Even just tossing the "scalable" folders within each of the "Faenza" subfolders would likely reduce most of the bloat.

Hi Mike,
Right, it's quite a hefty download, even though OpenSesame itself is tiny. The reason that Faenza is included in its entirety is to adhere to standards. OpenSesame has been designed to work in an environment where a FreeDesktop icon theme is available. On Windows and Mac OS this means that such an icon theme (like Faenza) has to be included with the download. There is no real specification which icons are used by OpenSesame and which are not, particularly when it comes to plug-ins. Any icon could be used in principle.
Still, nothing bad will happen if you remove a lot of icons. At the worst you will get some 'missing icon' icons.
Cheers,
Sebastiaan
