[solved] Large data pool versus data in the experiment folder

edited January 2016 in OpenSesame

Hello,
my recent experiment contains showing a high number of pictures (in sum 186 MB). Saving them in the data pool resulted in high loading and saving times, so I transferred them into the experiment folder. This seems to save time, but is there any disadvantage in doing so (maybe timing etc.)?
Thank you very much for your help!

The only downside is that your experiment becomes a bit less portable; that is, it consists of multiple files instead of just one. But if you have a large pool then it's definitely a good idea to put the files in the experiment folder to avoid long saving times.

There's much bigger issues in the world, I know. But I first have to take care of the world I know.
