installation with windows 8.1 Pro

I am trying to install OS Jazzy James on my pc, running windows 8.1 Pro, and I get this message when I run the program:
“Runtime error! Pythonw.exe. This application has requested the Runtime to terminate it is an unusual way.”
I have tried the download and installation (both the exe and the zip versions) several times and this all I get. Can anyone help me with this?

Do you get this error immediately when you launch OpenSesame, or only after working for a while, or while running an experiment?

I'm not sure what (if anything) you can do about this error. It likely results from an incompatibility/ bug in one of the underlying libraries. You could try the Python 3 package instead, if you're using the Python 2 package now, or vice versa.
