Error Retrieving From File Pool
Hi there,
I created an experiment on my Windows 10 PC and I have separated the files from my experiment (into the "pool" folder) which I then uploaded to Github. When I download the experiment to a Windows 7 PC, OpenSesame correctly recognises the files from the file pool. However, when I try to to run the experiment it says that it cannot find the files, and interestingly it specifies the directory where I used to store the files on my Windows 10 PC.
This makes me think that the file pool is somehow still associated with where the files were initially stored on my Windows 10 PC. Is that right? And is there a way to change this?
Thanks in advance for any suggestions,
Joff

Hi Joff, is your pool folder in the same directory as your experiment? (This is needed in order for OpenSesame to recognize files in the pool folder).

Hi Joff,
If you save the experiment before running it, does this solve the issue? I suspect that it's a problem with updating the location of the experiment; if so, I'll file a bug report on it. (What @Josh says is true as well, of course.)
Cheers,

Hi Josh,
Yes it is. That's what I am finding odd, it is recognising the files in the file pool but then it appears to try to access the experiment files from this other directory. Any ideas?
Thanks,
Joff
Sorry guys, it turned out to be a silly mistake! One of the images in my code was referenced to a specific file path on my laptop, rather than retrieving the file path from the file pool.
All fixed now, thanks.
