Change backup folder location

Hi, I'd like to know how I can change the location of the backup folder. The current location of my backup folder has very limited space available and I'd like to move the backup folder to my network drive.

Hi Johanna,

You actually can't: The backup folder is hardcoded into the automatic_backup extension. It would be a nice feature though, so I filed an issue (#471) on GitHub.

For now, to save space you could:

• Reduce the interval at which backups are created as well as the maximum age of backups;
• Disable the automatic_backup extension; and possibly
• Link your experiments to the OSF, so that you still have backups there.
