[solved] Pre-Buffering sound files
I'm trying to play multiple short (word-length) sound files, and I'm having trouble with the sound quality. I've got a sampler item playing files from the file pool. Some of the words come out clear, while others are choppy and sound almost like they are mixed with white noise.
In my experience, this kind of thing is usually solved by prebuffering any media before the script runs. Is this something I can solve through the prepare phase of an inline script?
Thanks for your help.

I always seem to find the answer right after I post a question :-)
For anyone else with the same problem, I increased the buffer size by inserting the following in my General tab:
set sound_buf_size 1024
I found the documentation on the timing page, here: http://osdoc.cogsci.nl/miscellaneous/timing
Thanks!

I'm impressed that you found this, because it's kind of tucked away there in the timing section! But yes, by increasing the buffer size you reduce the chance of getting choppy playback.
These options should be more visible to the user, so I opened up a feature request on this: https://github.com/smathot/OpenSesame/issues/45.
