Cannot play wav files

Hello,
I am trying to play a wav extension file through python script. I prefer wav over ogg for better quality. I changed the back-end sampling rate to 44.1 Khz, which is the equl of the recroded wav file, then recorded it as 48 Khz and run it on back-end default and finally used "sampler(src1, pitch=.92)" script. No matter what, the wav files does not play but only produce a tick sound. Anyone has an idea how to deal with it?

  • Hi,

Are you using Mac OS, by any chance. @Daniel This is a known issue on Mac OS, right? Any workaround? PyAudio for example?

  • Hi,
I am using 64 bit windows. Also tried at differnet computers running Windows 10 and 7. I am recording the sound files with FL studio 11. Anyways, a better sond card made ogg files useable, so I don't need a wav file anymore. It would be nice to know what causes the problem though.

    Thank for the reply,
    Best wishes
