Cannot change parts of the Python script

Hey,
I am new to OS (version 3.1.9) and have started with the tutorial. Unfortunately I can neither change the text in the text display items, nor the variables. After clicking in the python console/text field, I get an error message ("Python does not work anymore") and the programme breaks down. I have installed Python 3.5...
Otherwise, the experiment runs perfectly. What might be the problem?

Hi Ines,

Could you provide some more details? What operating system are you using exactly, and when exactly does the error occur? You could for example use a screenshot to illustrate what you mean.
