Not able of running the task

Hi all,

We recently shared our task programmed in Open Sesame for Android tablets with another research team. This research team is having troubles running the task. Once they introduce the subject name and press enter key the screen turns black and exit open Sesame. They have Android 5.0.0.300 and they installed Open Sesame 3.1.8. We can run task without a problem, we also installed Open Sesame 3.1.8, but we have an older Android version (4.4.2). What might be happening? What can we check?

This could be anything. Can you give more details about the actual problem? Does the experiment open, but doesn't run, or does it not even open in first place? In any case, if there is an error message, please share here, otherwise we can't really help.

Thank you for your response.

We open "Open SESAME" and enter the subject number "11". But after "examples/subject-11.csv, we can not go on. Please, see attached screen captures, I hope this may help.

Hi,

Just to be clear, there is no error message? The experiment just stalls? Seems that the droid backend has problems with newer versions of Android. I have no idea about the droid backends, so I am at a loss here. @sebastiaan , do you know whether there are known issues with android 5.xx?

There are indeed compatibility issues with recent versions of Android. But to know whether that's the issue here, we need to know (as @eduard already says) exactly what happens!
