[solved] Questionnaire Plugins

edited November 2011 in OpenSesame

Hi

I have just started using OpenSesame and so far things are going well. It's definitely making life easier for my Ph.D. However, I have one query, and for many reasons this may just be my own ineptness, but I appear to be having a problem with the questionnaire plugins. I recently downloaded them and placed them in the plugin folder. The icons are there in the GUI, yet when I try to use them I get the following error message

"Failed to load plugin 'multiple_choice'. Error: No module named htmllib"

Is there any help you can provide to potentially solve this problem?

    Hi Rob,

Thank you for your interest in OpenSesame and welcome to the forum!

The Windows and Mac builds of OpenSesame are missing some modules that are required by the questionnaire plug-ins. These are easily installed by copying some files into the OpenSesame folder, as explained in step 3 of the installation instructions:

Please let me know if this doesn't solve your problem.

    Kindest regards,
    Sebastiaan

ps. Come to think of it, I should include those modules in upcoming OS 0.25, so that the questionnaire plugins will work out of the box.

    Hi Sebastian,

Thank you for getting back to me!

I must confess to feeling a bit silly; I blatantly missed that third step. A little eager, I think. I downloaded the missing files and everything works wonderfully now, so thank you for that.

And you should definitely include the modules by default. They're brilliant. The whole program is brilliant, and am looking forward to the new version.

    Regards
    Rob
