failed to load plugin 'media_player_mpy'

Hello,

I am trying to include a video in my stimuli in Open Sesame by dragging the 'media_player_mpy' GUI into my paradigm pipeline. However, when I drag it over I get the below error. I tried downloading ffmpeg myself.

I downloaded it at https://github.com/imageio/imageio-binaries/raw/master/ffmpeg and copied the ffmpeg.osx to applications.

After doing this, I closed Open Sesame down, reloaded and tried to drag it over again - I received the same error:

I executed the code below in the OpenSesame debug window:

I received this message error:

I'm attached to a private internet connection.

Do you have a solution to resolve this problem ?

I don't work with that plugin or Macs, so, I can't really help. But maybe one of these discussions might:

You could also try to not use the plugin, but opencv instead. See for example here: https://osdoc.cogsci.nl/3.2/manual/stimuli/video/#opencv
